The main reason why I wanted to hook them up together was to add more oxygen flow to the torch, it may not be a good idea to set them up at the same psi as you said, however I already tried running them together and they work just as I expected, the oxycon set at 10lpm and the tank at 5-8lpm; it does get the boost I need to get a decent flame plus I save the oxy in the tank, wich is other reason why I wanted to do this setup.
