There is wordpress.org and wordpress.com. Go Daddy uses wordpress.org which is the wordpress software to create blogs and websites. Wordpress.com is easier IMHO, but less customizable without the upgrades. It has canned themes that you can choose from. Did you already buy a domain name from Go Daddy? You can still use wordpress.com and have your domain name forwarded.
