You're not doing anything wrong, the silver is fuming the glass, it more common with some colours like ivory cos they react

You could try a thin layer of clear between the blue and the silver but you'll have to try different clears co some of them react too (reichenbach does)

Or just go with the reaction, it looks good on organic beads
