I use
"Kraft tubes" from Uline for my color rod storage, they have caps to keep off dust, and come in different sizes. I use 1.5" diameter, 15" length for soft glass, and 24" length for boro colors. I make labels with important info about each color, and sample beads to wire to the caps.
