There is also a free PDF tutorial available from Mary Lockwood. She used miniature steel clay cutters as optic molds.

And there is also a LE thread about simple made tools. You can use the metal parts of paper punches not only to create optic moulds but to create a simple press tool. I cannot find the thread yet, but remember Shawnette wrote about paper punches used as press tools.
