I'm curious to know the methods that he's using. They look to me to be tube incasements, but I've never seen him work.

There was some discussion on Melting Pot about this not long ago and there were suggestions that he was using a swedish overlay encasement technique - apparently a technique used in furnace glass adapted for the torch.

starting at around 10:30 you can see the tube that is being set up for implosion which will form half of the the center of the collaboration marble they were working on which is shown in this clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGoB9cbDFI4

At around 11 minutes you can see him paddling on a large gather of clear.

Haven't had a chance to try this out myself, but interested if anyone has any insights.
