Puff paint for t shirts and a toothpick is my go to(and it's cheap). Bright colors are easy because you know exactly where it is, and where to remove it. I have heard that white out works ok though. Also Elmer's. Try etch resist sheets cut into strips or foam tape or those fake lead stained glass lines or nail art stickers as well.
