Smile Make your own mandrel spinner cheap!

Hi, Gang!
I decided to give a go at making my own mandrel spinner. I started with a Black and Decker battery operated drill. Then I took pieces of 1/16 brass tubing and cut them about 1/4 in LONGER than the chuck of the drill. I then placed my mandrel in the chuck of the drill and added the brass pieces in a ring around the mandrel inside the chuck. After this, I taped a small piece of duct tape around the chuck, brass, and mandrel to make sure it was steady.
Below is a rough drawing of how it works. The drill cost $10.99 at Walmart, the brass $4 at hobby lobby!
