Early on, I picked up a rod at the end that had recently been in the torch. I screamed and it went flying. I thought, at least I'll never do that again. Right.
I haven't had any really bad burns. I have had a hot splinter off a shocky rod go down my shirt and into my bra. That was exciting.
I've also put my thumbnail into the flame. Who knew that gel nails don't burn, melt or catch fire. I heard the hiss rather than felt it. It barely dulled the finish on the nail. ;
