I had a hard time choosing what degree burns I have had. None of the descriptions really fit. I decided to go with first degree only because my discomfort has been minimal.
I have burned myself many times. I have had no blistering and very little pain. Normally a break to put some ice on it, then back to work. After a while the burn will peal. I have dropped molten glass on my leg and arm. I once crossed my hand through the flame.
Maybe they were third degree with no swelling.
I have been amazed at how minimal the damage has been......knock on wood.....
