I needed to make a similar decision when buying eye protection for boro and soft glass, since I wear prescription lenses too. I decided it would be way more cost effective to get an Aura Table Shield, which can be used for both - flip up the boro shade for soft glass, and flip it down for boro. I figured if my prescription changed (which it does from time to time - not significantly, but enough that it necessitates a new prescription) I wouldn't need a new prescription for the glasswork lenses also. They ARE expensive, and wouldn't want to have to buy new ones every few years.

Of course, the Table Shield might not be the best decision if you are going to be blowing glass, but it seems like it would be good for most anything else, like beads, marbles and smaller sculpture. I LOVE mine, and I'm so glad I got it instead of lenses.

Something to consider...
