One way is to set regulator with torch off about 2psi higher than you actually want. A no flow situation produces about a 2-3 psi higher reading than when propane is flowing... Once you have played with concept a bit you will almost be able to set correct pressure with eyes closed... Or have a helper open torch valve, you set pressure and have helper close torch valve ... Then light torch as normal...
