For me personally I would
not have the exhausted air and the make up air on the same wall even if they were 10 feet apart such as one up high and the other down low to the ground.
You are assuming the back alley will have no wind or breezes and the exhausted air and the fresh air will remain separated at 10 or 15 feet apart?
