Those beads are wonderful!!! My sister taught me a great trick for getting recalcitrant beads off mandrels: Get a riveting tool from your local hardware store and insert the mandrel in instead of the rivet. Gently start to apply pressure with the handle - it slowly either pushes the bead off of the mandrel or winds up breaking it if it was glassed-on to the steel.
