For anyone later viewing this thread, I ended up making myself a tray to carry everything around. It's a little awkward due to the length needed to fit the glass, but it works very well for what I need it to do.
Oh, and it's made of foamcore poster board, so don't worry if you can't get to a woodshop to make it!
