The Glassroots Education Project - Oct 5-7
Monona Terrace Exhibition Hall - Madison, WI

Hi Lampwork Etc!

I hope it's cool with us posting this, but we wanted to let you know about some events of interest to the flameworking community that is going on at the Glassroots Art Show this year.

Along with the industry tradeshow we run every year, we're trying out something new on the other side of the venue for the first time this year.
From 11 to 3 on October 5th, 6th and 7th, we will be running what we affectionately call "The Education Project".

This is a series of one hour classes given by a variety of well known flameworking teachers (I've included a list below). Total, it's 12 hours of education over three days.

But wait, there's more!
So, if you're coming for the Education Project, you might as well hang out on the evening of the 5th and 6th from 4 to 9 pm to catch our Live Flameworking Cooperative. This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, and is going to bring together dozens of well known flameworking artists for a bunch of demos and collabs. All items produced at this event will be auctioned off and the all proceeds from sales are donated to the Clean Lakes Alliance, a charity dedicated to cleaning and maintaining the Yahara watershed in Dane County, WI.

And last but not least, on the evening of Oct 6th, from 8 to 11, Hannah Mayorga will be presenting a Mille, Murrine and Marble gallery style exhibit featuring many of todays notable and up and coming mille/marble makers. Tickets are $10 at the door, and free after 9 pm.

We know you all don't allow Facebook posts, so we're making sure all of this info is our website: http://glassrootsartshow.com/index.php/glassroots-guild
And we're also keeping it up to date in the room we've worked with Talkglass.com to create on their site: http://www.talkglass.com/forum/forum...oject-Art-Show

If you have any questions, please, feel free to PM us or drop us a line at glassrootsartshow@gmail.com.
We hope to see lots of you there!
