Hi Patti!

I have two suggestions: One is, if you don't currently use a lubricant in your cutter, doing so will help minimize the very fine chipping left by the scoring knife. The other is to run your strips through the dishwasher to remove any trace of lubricant or glass dust... that way you have way less risk of cutting yourself.
