Default It's finally done!

I stopped lampworking a year and a half ago because I was pregnant. It took another 10 months for my husband to finish my vent system. It is great! I did not take pictures of the rest of the room because it is really messy! Make up air is coming in behind be thru an open door. THe fire extinguisher is at my feet. I am not using bulk gas yet but when I do it will be outside. I have a piece of plexiglass coming down that covers most of the front of the hood simmilar to a fume hood in in a lab. Here are the pictures.

Yes it certainly was worth waiting for. I really didn't have time when Owen was really young anyway. He's 10 months now and just the most wonderful baby! Plus he goes to bed early so I can play at night

I just spent the last half hour organizing my glass by color. I realized that I keep buying certain colors over and over so I had more than I thought. Here is a picture.

Looks great! Did your hubby build the box and shelving as well? Bet you're happy to be back at the torch! Congrats!

Nice hood!

Yep, I buy repeat colors too, I have WAY too many reds, corals, and greens.

What kind of fan did you use? Is it very loud? It looks like the FanTech I'm considering, but I'm concerned about noise.

It's a vortex fan and it really isn't that bad. The torch is louder, I have a hot head. This is the fan I got. If you have a longer distance to go My hubby recommends the 8". We have a piece of plexiglass infront of the opening so the CMF doesn't have to be as high, that is my understanding anyway.

Yes I am pleased with my glass stash but it still never quite enough I always feel I need more colors The shelving is from Ikea.
