Default firing dichro strips?

Hi All,

I've been buying my dichro pre-fired strips from Aarow Springs, but they have been backordered forever. If I just wanted to fire my own strips, how would I do that?

Thanks!

I'd love to know this too, in case I couldn't buy them pre-fused anymore for whatever reason.

It's odd, because sometimes I get them (all of mine are from Frantz) and most have the best crinkle-crackle. But others are more subtle and aren't crackly at all, but have obviously been pre-fused. Not sure of it's just a characteristic of the color or what... but if I could, I think it would be really awesome to have control over the outcome.

I don't know how to do that but Howaco has great fused strips.

This thread has the question and also some links.

Another one:

A search on slumping or prefiring dichro pulls up some more results than "firing" which mostly refers to working it.

I have better results with non- pre-fired dichro.

Thanks for the links.
I saw some people I haven't seen or thought about in years in the WC thread.
