Default Torch Flame Measurements/Photos on Regalia(s)

Here are the flame measurements and photos I took of some popular torches being run on a Regalia set at 10 LPM. Flames can vary from torch to torch and different conditions can create different results. These numbers are just what I measured and are intended to give an idea of what you can expect when running a particular torch on this concentrator.

The flames were measured and photographed before the candles started feathering at the tips.

On some of the torches, my husband and I timed how long it took to cut through an 8mm rod of clear boro. Again, your mileage may vary. This is just meant to give an idea of what you can do.

Carlisle Mini CC
candle length: 0.800” (longer center jet)
shoulder width: 0.900”
flame length: 9”
time to cut through 8mm boro rod: 16 seconds

candle length: 0.575” (center jet more even with rest)
shoulder width: 0.800”
flame length: 13”

It's hard to photograph a flame well in the light. So, we took many of the pictures in the dark so you could see the flame shape better. It's still not as good as actually being there.

Nortel Minor
candle length: 1” (longer center jet)
shoulder width: 0.850-1”
flame length: 16”
time to cut through 8mm boro rod: 16 seconds

Nortel Mega Minor
candle length: 1” (longer center jet)
shoulder width: 1.210”
flame length: 15”
time to cut through 8mm boro rod: 17 seconds

candle length: 0.800” (center jet even with rest)
shoulder width: 1.150”
flame length: 15”

Nortel Minor and Mega Minor both on Regalia
candle length: 0.300” each torch
shoulder width: 0.700” for Mega Minor, 0.775 for Minor
flame length: 10” for Mega Minor, 11” for Minor

(I can add a photo later)

shoulder width: 1.850", 1.350" with blue valve
flame length: 22", 25" with blue valve thrust

Barracuda (centerfire – same as Piranha/Betta)
candle length: 0.650"
shoulder width: 0.850"
flame length: 13"

Barracuda (centerfire and outerfire)
candle length: 0.350"
shoulder width: 1.350"
flame length: 12"

Barracuda (centerfire and outerfire) on two Regalias*
candle length: 0.575"
shoulder width: 1.500"
flame length: 17"

* I have a Regalia and an Integra10. The Integra10 is the old version of the Regalia. They put out the same 10 LPM at 7-9 psi. So, just to keep things simple, on the torches that were run using both machines, I just labeled the pictures as torches being run on two Regalias

Also, I will add more torches later (after the Gathering)
