Default Molecular Sieve replacement

My OG-15 oxygen generator finally succumbed to being operated in to high humidity levels so I need to replace the Molecular Sieve. I've figured a way to pipe the oxygen to my torch from inside

Is this a DIY project or do I need to pony up the money and send them back to OGSI and get it done?

Steve

Call them, but I think it's a send in.

Its a sad fact of life that all makes and brands of concentrators and generator have a three to seven years to live before they need a transplant.

You may need to bit the bullet .

If you look in the yellow pages I'd bet you can find a place that takes and repairs concentrators for human use. If there is no listing you can call one of the rest homes and ask who they use to repair/replace the ones that there patients use

I've always done my own repairs on my AS-12A's Air-sep has awesome technical support and they've talked me through a few repairs.
Mostly plug and play when it comes to replacing components on mine.
The sieve beds on mine are just big cylinders full of the media (I think it's zeolite). They have barb connectors for the entry and exit tubes.
Gettting it apart should be the hardest part.
If you do it yourself just make sure that you don't leave the new seive beds open to the atmosphere any longer than necessary.

Steve,
I have replaced the sieve beds before on my OG-15--just call OGSI and they will send you replacement sieve beds with instructions. It's really not hard to do at all. The canisters they have now are nicer and stronger than the original ones, so the update will be good for your machine's longevity.

I am not sure if this still holds true but 4 years ago (or so) when I bought my unit this use to be a 200.00 fix plus like 70.00 for shipping. I asked this question upfront as I live in South Jersey and the summers are pretty humid here. Call them and if possible run the unit with a dehumidifier once repaired.
