I started lampworking about 1 1/2 years ago & bought a starter kit that had mandrells, bead release, a fiberglass blanket, an Effetre sampler pack, a hot head torch & a marver. It was under $200. After several months & knew I was addicted to the art, I bought a kiln and a Bethleham Alpha torch, got oxygen & propane & started buying more glass & tools. I was blessed to find (on Craigslist from a guy in another state) a ton of glass, tools, hoses, another hot head torch, an assortment of already made stringers, pixie dust...I can't remember what all it had in it. But I paid $300 for it, shipping & all & that really gave me the supplies I needed. If you do a deal like that, get references--he was on eBay, had excellent feed back & was verified on Pay Pal. I feel like a took a leap of faith doing that, and it worked out really well. Blessings to you on your new adventure!

Ok, thanks, Chuck! For supplies, if you're near Hellertown/Allentown area, Wale Apparatus is great! That's where I got my Mini CC and oxy/con. Great folks!
