Default what is this?

I was recently given a stash of old nori from the 80s. In that batch was this glass here. It works like the heart that is underneath the bundle. Prior to being worked it seems to have grooves or thin lines on the outside the length of the rods and give it almost a chatoyant or cats eyes effect.

You sure it's Northstar and not Draconis satin or something?

LOL I just realized that the speech correction on my iphone changed boro to nori. I have no idea if the stuff is norstar or not. I just know it is from the late 80s or early 90s. Haven't tried working it yet with other boro, but it works kind of interesting alone. It bubbles up quite a bit, but then smooths out when you are working it so you have to heat it up slowly.

Where is Jah Free when you need him? Surprised he didn't catch the scent of the word Draconis in the wind and suddenly find this forum, lol! Jah Free in Washington has been using the Draconis satins in his marbles for a long time, you might try to find him at Melting Pot or something and see if he IDs it as Draconis.
