Y conector thoughts
Hi all!
I'm wanting to split my oxygen concentrator between my glass torch and soldering torch. Can anyone recommend a good Y splitter? I'm seeing 2 different styles: metal ones that are just a Y, and then some with on/off valves on each side. Can I get one at a local welding supply or are the ones sold online @ "glass stores" any different? Also, is the "B" fitting standard for concentrators or is it a different fitting size?

They're the same. Check local prices. The fitting depends on the concentrator. A few models only have push on barb connectors.

I did the same thing and got my splitters from Arrow Springs. They are just Y splitters without valves. The valves aren't really needed.

Thanks for the input. I just figured now that I am soldering almost daily, it's silly paying $10 for a disposable bottle of oxygen that only lasts a week or so, when I have my concentrator sitting 3' away. (I share my exhaust hood for both torches)

Check Home Depot or Lowe's for plastic "T" connectors that fit 1/4 ID hose.
