Default Questions about the Piranha and National 8M

Is the piranha torch have alot of radiant heat?

Will it work well on on concentrator at the time I have a 5 lpm. I will be getting a better one later?

Is it a bushy flame?

I have a National 8m I have never used it yet my studio is not quite done yet can you also tell me what the differences are on that one? Can you get a fine point flame for detail work on a national?

I have worked on a Mini CC, a Bobcat and a minor is it at all like any of these.
Can you give me info on this torch how it runs and your likes and dislikes please?

Thank Lori

I love mine. Not a lot of radiant heat. You can get a really sharp pin point flame or a nice full bushy "encasing" flame depending on the adjustment. I run mine on a 5lpm oxycon and have faboo results with raku. The joints at the base allow for infinite angle and height adjustments.

Love it!

What Kendra said! Except that it seems like the big bushy flame has good radiant heat to me. I also run mine on a 5 lpm concentrator.
Love my Piranha

I was referring to "bad radiant heat", the kind that makes it so you can't get
your hand in close for stringer work. It definitely has "good radiant heat".

Does anyone have any info on the National 8M? The Piranha sounds like a great torch. But how does it compare to the National I need to figure out if the national will be what I am wanting. Or if I should buy the Piranha while I can.
Thanks for your help
Lori
