Dh has some tips on their site and there might be some on FB tips & techniques. I don't have a lot of luck with the striking glasses, I have tried Atlas but it didn't do much for me. A friend tried Atlas 3 and said it was a bit easier to strike. I would say do what you would normally do for striking glass and see what happens. But have fun using it! I'm starting to work through my stash and it's very satisfying. I'm also getting better LOL
