Elizabeth, Actually the FlouroGreen wasn't an exact match. It is however, a GORGEOUS translucent green that cooperates nicely in the flame! For some reason the photos didn't come out as good as they should have. But none the less are very close.

That is a major close-up of the bead showing the black sooties like you get when working with Opalino. I made the bead on my Hothead. Out of the 28 beads that I made yesterday on the HH, the Poison Apple was the only one to do that. Like I said in one of my earlier posts, it's possible that I worked too close to the torch at some point. I don't know if that is a right assumption or not. Here is the same thing that happened to my Nile Opalino beads. The effect gave the beads an interesting appeal.

Black soot comes from too much gas. I know that on my minor I turn up the oxygen. So maybe on your hothead you might want to work father out in the flame??? At least at he end of making a bead to burn off the soot. just a guess as I have never worked on a hothead before.

After a 9 month search, I finally have the results in. We have triplets! The first perfect match is Semi Opaque Light Lime Green. Sired by the distributors of Devardi Glass. Next in line is Semi Opaque Misty Green. Also from the distributors of Devardi. The third is newly developed rod form of Green Gold produced by Bullseye. Irene of Flame Kissed Glass carries this, and sells it by the rod.
I will try to post photos of beads made by each of these colors sometime this week.
