Clay King - Bluebird Kiln
I wasn't sure where to post this. I am looking to purchase another Bluebird Kiln.
I found clay king and their price appears fantastic. Anyone with input on dealing with this company? I normally refuse to purchase such large items long distance but I am tempted.

I can't comment on Clay King, but I have a Bluebird xl, that was taken to a trade show and put on a table for show. Some of the tradeshow kilns are used for a couple days, but this one just sat there on the table, and looked pretty.
$640.50
$35.00 shipping

Have purchased with them....
Yes, I purchased a kiln from them a couple of yrs. ago, since they are local for me. I went to their store front, a warehouse looking structure. Great service. You are talking about the Clay-King in Spartanburg, SC?
I can completely understand your hesitation, especially dealing with the shipping charges, and the cost of a kiln together.

I got mine from Clay King. ordered it and it was here the next day. Same state, but still...they shipped the same day I ordered and I thought that was pretty awesome.

I am looking for a Blue Bird Jr. to take to art shows where we will be demoing glass, boro and softglass. Anyone have one they would like to sell or know where to buy at a good price. From what I have re-searched they can be pretty price new. Thanks Mary.

I got our first Bluebird from Clay King several years ago. We did it a bit differently though. I ordered though Clay King and they put the order through to Paragon in Dallas where they are made. Since we live close, I picked it up at Paragon and got an 8-10% discount because the price included shipping. Not sure if they still price that way or not.
Cheers,
