Mine was also a Christmas present by DH .
There's a thread in the Gallery, in case you want to show off your beads inspired by the color archive:

WOW!! Absolutely stunning. I downloaded it this morning and took it to Staples. Got it printed and coil bound, which wasn't cheap but I'm so glad I did it. I can't put it down My BF is at his buddies watching the Superbowl and I'm enjoying the bead porn here at home!

Thanks so much for doing this, Kim. It's going to be a great inspiration!

Default Print version!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to post a note here and let interested parties know that a print version of the Color Archive is now available. I know that many of you already have the PDF and are happy with that version, but I wanted to make a professionally-printed version available since I've had so many requests for one.

This limited print edition is being done by a custom art and photography book printer in San Francisco. It's a beautiful, high quality softcover art book, printed in full color on glossy photo stock with a glossy UV-laminated cover. The book is 8-1/2" by 11"; it includes the original PDF in its entirety, and is perfect-bound. The books are to be shipped to me by the printer the last week of May, and I will begin shipping orders immediately as soon as the books arrive here.

Please note: I have no plans to do subsequent printings, and I will not be ordering extra copies for folks who might decide they want one later, so if you want to be sure of getting a copy, you MUST preorder by Sunday, May 15th. After that date, I will need to give the printer a final quantity for the print run and will not be able to accept additional orders.

Details and ordering info about the print edition can be found on my site, at http://www.bluffroadglass.com/printedition.html

Thanks so much!

Books are here!

I'm working this weekend to get the rest of the copies repacked for individual shipment and should have the majority of orders shipped out by Monday.

Those of you in Canada: I am holding your orders temporarily (USPS is currently not accepting any shipments to Canada) and keeping an eye on the news in the hope that as predicted, the postal strike will be settled sometime in the next week. If necessary, I will switch to a different carrier to get your orders out, but for the moment I'm reluctant to do that because I've been told that Fed Ex and UPS shipments to Canada result in much higher duties and customs charges.

I do want to offer my apologies for not getting these shipped out as early in the month as I thought I would. Printing a book is a notoriously delay-ridden process and I probably should have known better than to think that this one would be an exception. That being said, I think they look great, I'm really excited to finally get to hold one in my hands, and I hope you'll all be as pleased with the book as I am. Watch your mailboxes!

Still find this an inspiration. Now that the baby is birthed, maybe you will have time to make awsome beads again. :0)

A quick update on the 2nd print run for those who have ordered or who were thinking about ordering:

I learned this morning that there was an opportunity for me to move the book up in the printer's production schedule. In order to take the vacant slot, I had to go ahead and finalize my print order today, rather than holding off until the July 20 order deadline and basing the size of the print run on the number of actual orders received.

I decided to go ahead and get the books into production. The advantage of that is that they will be here 3-4 weeks sooner than expected. According to the printer they will be ready the last week of this month or the first week of August.

The only drawback is, because the size of the print run is now set in stone, there's now a limit on the number of copies I will have available.

If you have already ordered, you are covered -- you're guaranteed to get a copy and you will also be receiving it much sooner than planned.

I also ordered a small stash of extra copies, but I can't say how long they will last. The extras are available on a first-come, first-served basis; I will continue accepting orders until they are all spoken for. If you want to be sure of getting a copy, I do recommend that you order sooner rather than later.

If you have questions, feel free to drop me an email or PM. Thanks!

No worries Elena -- I did order extra copies this time so there are still some copies left. I'm on my way home from vacation right now, the books should be delivered on Tuesday and I'll be ahipping them out then!
