Default BE Ivory Questions

I'm looking for a BE glass that gives the textured, lined look of Moretti or Vetro ivory. I've tried Antique White & French Vanilla but no luck. Any suggestions? I'm trying to make a bead using the ivory to depict the sand on the beach and SeaBreeze as the water.

Thanks,
Angela

You could try a little silver leaf wrapped either 1/2 way or all the way around either one of those colors or try dipping the french vanilla in some fine frit and pull stringers. Egyptian Blue or Steel Blue frit on french vanilla makes a nice brown. Or Woodland Brown. The others are more fun though. Fun Angela! I said fun! OK, I'll stop teasing.
Maybe if you can find some of that special production Creme Brulee or one of the later versions it would work too.

Try Nougat... it's a bit more textured than French Vanilla, though it still doesn't "curdle" like Efettre Dark Ivory does.

Thanks Kalera. I've got some Nougat that I'll try.

Hey Rebecca, I'm going to go have some fun melting some Nougat. Thanks for the tips about the Steel Blue & Egyptian Blue frit on French Vanilla. I'm always amazed at how much I don't know! Whoever said "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing" must have been a lampworker!

And silver on Nougat is very similar to moretti's silvered ivory.

Oh, I forgot to mention... try putting some really fine clear frit on the Nougat, for an awesome beachy texture! It's even better if you put silver leaf on top of that.
