Question Centrifgl Fan - Anyone have these?

I have my line in (lots of work over the weekend but worth it!!) and now the last piece of the puzzle is the fan...

I found some on Ebay that looked interesting and I am sure they are all good performers but since they don't advertise the dB (sound level), I figure there may be a reason for it...

Does anybody have these and can tell me if they are loud, tolerable or super quiet?

Thanks!!!!

Thanks!!!

First & foremost, I would suggest a stronger fan. Bumping up in size won't cost much more.

Different fans have different noise levels. I've had 3 inlines and none were very loud, but that's based on opinion. Here's the first one I had, which was about the size of the ones you're looking at:

Cool!

Did you change the diameter as well (from 6" to 8")?

I don't have much to go with just a couple of bends... But will look for more powerful ones.

Yes, the larger fans have a larger diameter. (more airflow)

I'm just now setting up a workbench in the garage.
Have installed an 8" inline fan (same as the green one listed)and it's not that loud at all.

Thanks for all the feedback!

I am wondering if adding an 8" fan at say 700ish cfm to a 6" duct line would do better than sticking with a 6" fan with 400ish cfm? I think the constriction would bring the efficiency way down...

You'll need to get 8" duct and yes, it would be better. Much better.
