Saturday, June 2, 10 - 4 $145 tuition
This one-day workshop will cover the ancient techniques of making a variety of beads from thin copper sheet. You'll learn to cut the copper into the appropriate template for the shape bead you want to make, then learn tricks for tightly winding the sheet into a beautiful bead. Finally, Anne will show you how to wrap the wound shape with contrasting or coordinating wire to enhance it.
A new, quick way to patina the metals will also be demonstrated and Anne will have samples of various copper wound beads made into finished jewelry to inspire you! Sheet copper and a variety of wire is included in the course tuition.
