Default Mixing metal with glass

When mixing metal with glass (fine silver wire, metal foil or any sorts), do I need to wear a mask of some sort? Wasn't sure if that would put something bad in air?

Yes. You should be wearing an N (or P) 100 respirator. It will filter out the metal vapors.

You also need to have very excellent ventilation so that there is good airflow to prevent the fumes from settling on your work bench surfaces.

This place has them: http://www.gemplers.com/safety/perso...tors/dust/n100
$32.85 for a box of 5 but I'm assuming they're re-usable. And you can probably get them cheaper elsewhere, this is just the first site that came up when I googled.

Be careful what metals you choose. I heard bronze can put welders in hospital. You migth want to stick with the safer metals like 99.9 gold/silver and palladium.
