Default Older HH, Green flame

Howdy folks:

Picked up an old HH a little while back. Worked fine initially, but haven't used it in a while, and when I fired it up tonite, it decided it preferred it's flame green.

Ok, so I need to replace some bits. Thing is, I don't know which bits. Would it be a defective orifice which would cause the flame to go green? A bad cork gasket? Not sure what to replace for this issue, and searching here, on the Hot Head site and on the web isn't giving me an answer.

Thanx for any suggestions!
Alli

I have an old HH (the original model) and a new one and they both had a green flame when I hooked them up to propane. Never had the problem if they were hooked up to MAPP or propylene.

I use Propylene (MapPro) exclusively, and don't get the green on my newer HH. I'm pretty sure it's the orifice as Dawn said; it doesn't look like anything has been ever replaced on it; still seems to have its original cork washer, and it's clearly well used. It's on my shopping list, but with the newer one working fine it's not at the top.

Thanx!

You can clean the parts to the old HH and get it working as good as new! Here you go:
