I just made another one which was jet encased in silver amethyst, and it looks promising! Pics of my 2 new ones tomorrow...

Awesome. I can't wait. I don't have silver amethyst but do have some indigo luster frit ... hmmmmm.

I probably won't torch until Sunday or Monday. Feel like I need to hang with family today and tomorrow. Miserable cold and windy here as well ... doesn't make me eager to go anywhere!!

Hmmmm. Color suggestions is what I asked for. I don't have black lightning but I do have blue lightning. Aaaaaaahhh sooo many colors and too little time.

I'm eager to try the Indigo Luster frit ... just because I think it will be a cool effect.

Black lightning could be quite good, it seems to stay blacker, instead of really lightening up from the silver... I'll try that and a few other ideas too.

Here are my experiments from yesterday. I think tubing implosions would probably give a better/darker petal with more of the base black showing through than these maria implosions too.

Silver amethyst over black, might be better if I used thinner stringer:

And the Star White over black (with a random dot of A/P it seems... I need to tidy my workspace lol). I wanna try mixing some white with clear, then encasing black with that next... I like the texture of this one though

Default Success -- or kinda

This isn't quite what I originally envisioned but since it's 25 degrees out and I don't want to leave the door open for extra ventilation for fuming ... it's where I'm stopping for now.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and examples. This has been a fun experience and good learning.

This is Jet dipped in medium Indigo Luster frit (several times) and pulled into a stringer. The photo doesn't do it justice and my daughter is very happy with her final product!!

Thanks so much. It is actually better centered in the pendant. I was trying to angle it to show the petals. Makes it look wonky.
