I've experienced the same as DeAnne, but it happened less when I used Mapp and it's usually only when it was a new tank, OR when it was really humid out for some reason. If it was just because it was a new tank, it would eventually stop but if it was the humidity, I'd have to call it a day.

I am confused about some of the advice given here - when you hang your hose, the hot head torch is removed from the hose and removed from the tank and just the hose is hung down.

It sounds like you are saying to hang the hose with the torch attached and the oil is supposed to drip down through the torch?

Mitzy ~ the hose should be removed from the tank or canister dear! I think I saw where you might have gotten confused.

Okay, update. I cursed like a sailor in the morning as the problem was much worse . All I could meals was black dirty looking beads. I bot the bullet and purchased a new tank and a fresh refill of propane. I believe the problem is gone and I suspect it was the fuel and not the tank. I had always purchased propane from the same gas station except for the last time. The tank was going to need replacing in January so it's all good.

Do a propane exchange on the crappy one and you will get a newer tank and likely cleaner propane
