A Dictonary?
I think it would be helpful for many newbies to have a thread that is a dictionary of sorts, for lamp work, maybe even some of the common slang that is used on this group. I know when I started out I had to ask over anad over what EDP, reduction, DH, Reactive, and many more meant. If any one agrees, please reply with a few "entries" so that the newer users know what we are talking about. (and I can stop asking!)
EDP- EVIL Devetrifying Purple
DH- Dear Husband
I will let someone with more knowledge than I explain the others!

I tried to get something like this started on WetCanvas a little while ago. Here's a link to the thread, which has some definitions of glass-related terms and some links to other glossaries.

Here are links to places that have explanations for general web slang/acronyms. "DH" confused me too, for a while. The first time I saw it, I guessed it as "Domestic Helper," and thought "oh, poor thing. She must be disabled and has someone come in to help her in the house." Of course, now I know it very often means the opposite of "domestic help" -- and it doesn't always mean "Dear Husband," either.
