MAPP or Propane

For those of you who have tried both, which do you prefer and why? Thanks in advance.

From what I understand, MAPP has added ingredients that increase the combustion temp. Propane, unless combined with oxy, just doesn't get that hot. But a while back (can't remember how many years ago) they changed MAPP to MAPP Pro-something that's not the same. That's kinda when I made the decision to only use the Hot Head to demo from then on.
