Default COE bummer

I'm familiar with the prohibition of encasing red or yellow glass in any large amount, but haven't had any issue with encasing another color with red before. I made this stopper with a base of KAS clear, encasing with striking red and Aurae (?) dots. It was fine for the last week, but when I went to enter it into inventory and put a price on it, it has huge compatibility cracks around the bottom. It was not made on the bolt, but on a big hole mandrel and then glued with E6000. Any ideas? This really sucks, cause it turned out really nice.

Is KAS the Kugler/Arrow Springs clear, where the later batches were hideously incompatible with everything? (Should be more on here under ASK clear).

Yes, it's the same. I wondered why I had all this wonderful, clean clear stashed in the back of the torch bench. Thanks.

It's only good by itself or for enamel. It works great with enamel and is what J.C. Herrill uses.

I have used it successfully with many 96 coe frit blends too.
