Oxycon wisdom?
I have 2 5lpm oxycons that I was hoping to hook together for an oxy boost for my cricket.
2 days ago, one of them was working fine. I hooked up my Y connector and now neither will produce oxygen.
I'm kind of anal so I went back to the connection I was using and it won't work now either. Had a little trouble disconnecting the one to start with but I don't think we damaged the connector. If we did, would that cause a problem? The manual doesn't say anything other than check your filters and the intake which are all fine.
Does anyone have any wisdom to share?
Thanks.

The last time I had a problem it was simply a very tiny hose that had come off a sensor on the circuit board. I slipped it back on and it worked perfectly.

I opened both up and everything appears to be connected in both machines. For the cost to them out for repair, I can buy a single new unit. Just don't really want to spend the money right now.....

Don't mean for this to sound ........well............do you have knobs on your "Y" connector? Have you tried fiddling with them? The reason i ask is because mine didn't work at first, either......they do now after I turned the knobs to the on position.

Have you tried running the oxycons with no connector attached? Can you feel anything coming out of the oxycon? Does it sound like the oxycon is running at all?

The knobs on the connector will be something I need to look at.
In the meantime, I have tried both oxycons with no hoses attached and even though it sounds like they're working properly, neither is producing more than one lpm regardless of how open I have it. I don't feel anything coming out of either of them with no hoses attached.
At this point, I am planning to drop both off on Monday for repair. After talking to them, it sounds like the cost to repair could be slightly less than buying new, so I'm going to give it a try.
In the short term, it's back to the hothead for me.

Try calling your local pharmacies that have oxycons to rent and ask where they get them recertified/repaired. Then call that business and ask your questions to them. They should be able to trouble shoot a little bit for you.
