What is the best pink glass to use on a hh? I have been using cranberry which works most of the time but I eokkd like something with more consistent results.

You can use most any pink on a HH with no problems.

I think the inconsistency you are getting might have more to do with the nature of the torch than with the nature of the glass.

The hot head is only a clean burning torch if you don't turn it up too high and if you don't work too close to the brass.

Once the gas pressure pushes the flame to a certain length it stops burning all the fuel and starts blowing unburnt fuel all over your glass. So try turning down the gas and make sure you don't wander too close to the brass. The flame within the first inch or so is heavy with fuel that has not had a chance to burn yet as well and was the source of most of my trouble with it.

There are lots of folks that have mastered the hot head and chasing that sweet spot of just enough gas and lots of patience for the glass to melt have been the foundation for making it work for them.

Oh and they do stellar work with this torch, but it is a learning curve that has strict limits that will either teach you patience or frustration.

Sounds like you are looking for a transparent pink. Try the Reichenbach 104 pinks.

You can also melt Bullseye on a Hothead. BE pinks are awesome.

I get great results with luscious pink from devardi glass. Preheat it, and it works smooth and consistent on my hot head!

Another vote for the Devardi Luscious Pink. As long as I preheat it, it behaves itself.
