Is there a ~96 COE ivory color that is reactive?
I am not big on mixing COEs, so I would like to find a Reichenbach/Kugler/Zimmerman/whatever glass (something in the 96 COE range) that is reactive similar to Moretti ivory - light or dark. I know that the Uroboros ivory/off white is not reactive.
Is there such a thing?

I haven't found one, yet. R107 is too yellowy. I'm waiting on some R186 and I'll let you know what it's like.

Ok. I just tried the R161 Lt. Beige and it reacts with silver, but it's not fun. I rolled it in leaf and it was ok but nothing to write home to mom about.
Then I decided to add some silver wire. OMG!! Bubbles galore! I've never had a problem with this glass boiling, but I couldn't get it to stop once I added the wire. Bleah! It was so bad that I just said "to hell with it" and worked it into the design structure, lol.

I am curious how it would react with some of the R and K silver glasses like silver green and silver blue.

R161 Lt Beige with K105 Silver Blue & K103 Silver Green and plain R161.
The dusty stuff is fiber blanket because I was too lazy to wipe the beads before I took the pic, lol. The middle bead is a stripe of Silver Green dotted with Lt. Beige. The Beige started to sink into the Green.

hmm.... not bad actually, though a little on the "dirty looking" side. I have tried silver blue and silver green on R107 Opal yellow and it looks good on it, just really wanted something with less yellow in it.
Not only is it good to be a glass ho, it's good to know one!!
thanks Shawnette!

The Kuglers are the same as the Reichenbachs. I haven't tried the Gaffers.

This is I think Almond Parfait Spectrum System 96 sheet glass something like that with silver foil done like a sis stringer (I think thats what you call it) The navy blue reaction came from using that cause there is just turquoise and brown glass I actually like this reaction not like moretti but subtle.

These beads are pretty! I'm assuming that's the same as the Almond Opal that Uroboros makes?

Hmm... I have almond opal and have not found it to be very reactive, but I love that navy blue color you got.

Its only reactive if you put the silver leaf with it.

I haven't found one yet, either. Uroboros white is reactive with some reds (turns them shades of brown/black) but it's not all that desirable in my book.
Uroboros Almond responds nicely to silver, but NOT the way Moretti Ivory does...the silver sits on top of the Almond, but will react with other frits while the Almond stays neutral. It's kinda cool, but still not THE ivory effect.

Is there a trick to working with the Almond? I have trouble with it acting like EDP...and as I type this I'm thinking, "Well then maybe I should work it like EDP". duh...

What do you mean? Opal Almond is very neutral and doesn't require and special treatment.

I've had some strange reactions with UR cloud opal. Add silver and depending on the frit it will turn black which can be cool. I accidentally over reduced it once when I ran out of O2 and got some some smoky outlines around frit. I think that's the only 96 I've ever had any reactions with although I haven't messed with Kugler much.
