10.1 versus 15.1

I am contemplating a Cannon Rebel XS versus Cannon Rebel T1i. The major difference is the megapixels. I mainly want this camera for taking pictures of jewelry and beads. Is this difference worth the 200$? Thanks for the advice in advance.

Not in my opinion. I shot all of these (jewelry for ten years) with a 3.2 megapixel.
