Default WHEW!!!! a BOC weekend

Well,
The Florida Glass Dragons ahve wrapped up the BOC weekend, and all are tired. We started off on Saturday with a butterfly murrini class, and worked into the evening. The off for a quick shower and 7 of us, including jean Baruch met up for a yummy dinner and lots of conversation. It was amazing to meet jean. She is a force of nature and her passion for this program just oozes out of her pores. I managed to fall into bed at about 11 on a hard hotel bed, and TRY to get some sleep, to little avail. Then up at 6:30 to head back to the studio and get set up for the bead workday before others arrived.

We had demos all day. Glow Joe showed us how to mix his glow glass powder into glass and pull cane, We had a robot demo, a lion, dogs, and some color stuff with Boro by Mr Smiley.. I ma sure I missed things while I was either working myself, or chilling for a few. Jean presented our group with an award... I missed that because I was in mid bead and couldnt stop.

I am bone weary, but folks took lots of pictures, and I hope they will post some here soon. I travelkd on from the weekend to look after an aunt who is ill, so I am not at hiome myself, but wanted to pop in and say we ahd a GREAT time, got lots done, made new friends, and learned more about BOC. Jean has us all STOKED to work hard.

Candice

This is the perfect description of Jean!
The following weekend, Jean came to So Cal to meet with our board from So Cal Flame Surfers. She is quite the inspirational speaker! Our group has had one BOC bead challenge day and we hope to have more soon.

Good job FL Glass Dragons!

Default Newsletter?

Yes that does sound fantastic!! Is it possible to get on email list or newsletter for up and coming gatherings for this. I would really like to participate too and since my oldest daughter now lives in Miami, it is a great way to do both...lol.

Also, FYI, after 18 yrs, I am divorcing and I am discovering my newfound freedom has allowed me much more time to devote to torching and creating. Out with the old and in with the new, also, I am down to one daughter out of four at home, and she will be going off to college in two years so I am looking forward to having no one else to take care of but me?!? weeee..lol.
I also decided to grow my hair out and donate to children with cancer in need of hair. ok all, just wanted to chime in...look forward to meeting some fellow artisits...
