Default Looking for bead ideas

for the teens involved in BOC. I read the sticky, but that really wasn't much help to me when it came to the teens.

If you have any suggestions for beads, please let me know. I really want to do an entire series of beads for teens. With hormones bumping and medications colliding, I want the to truly relate to some of the beads I make. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

From my experience many of the older kids really get into the abstracts (organics?) more than the representational beads. Colorful or with a lot of depth (or both) often seem to strike that chord you're looking for.

Thanks, Robert. That's the kind of guidance I need! I used to be a h.s. teacher. These older ones are dear to my heart!

I would think your murrini would be amazing for "teenage" beads... Or any child or parent, really, explosions of color across the surface...

I contacted one of my former fellow teachers. She's an art teacher at the same high school where I taught. I asked her to ask her students what they thought would be beads they would like if they were sick. Here are their answers. Remember, these are from high school art students, and they are MN Vikings fans.

Bright colors, retro things...Pink/lime green, Peace symbols, mushrooms, fairies, hearts, love
Sports things...footballs, baseballs, MN Vikings, soccer balls, etc.
