'Pity Party' Sale
I sent out a newsletter announcing this sale, then realized I forgot to post it here, so I'm extending it till Wednesday for LE customers only.
I'm having a 'Pity Party' Sale and you're invited!
I was in a car accident the other day. My treasured 95' Jeep Cherokee was totaled. The guy tried to cross in front of me and our bumpers kissed and he drove me into a parked truck. Totaled the entire front, hood, bumper, both doors, bent the frame. Hit me hard enough to knock my glasses off, but no one was hurt.
When they say accidents happen so fast, they mean it. My brain told me to step on the breaks, but I never got the chance. Except for the obligatory backing into something, this was my first accident, hope it's my last.
I'm pretty bummed about loosing this car, I've had it for 15 years and intended it to be the last one I would own. Take a look at the odometer for proof of that, 229,523 miles. Driving to the Gathering would have given me the 230K landmark - drat.
I'm a couple of days into my Pity Party, but you can join in by getting 10% off an order (does not apply to the 'multiple tool discount', no discounts on top of discounts please). You will need to place the order, then email me that you are an LE sales rack customer ( To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ) and would like the 10% discount, I'll refund it to you. My Pity Party will more than likely go on for a few years, but the Sale will end Wednesday night.

Thanks guys. I was so attached to that Jeep though, I think I would have rather been hurt just so I'd still have it.

I know how that feels when you love you car. My Toyota had 230,000 miles on it when the repairman told me to let it go. Sorry about the accident, but glad to know that you are doing fine....... physically.

I'm sorry to hear about your accident. I'm glad to hear your ok! I've had a couple of wrecks myself and it's no fun! My best was in a brand new car..less than 100 miles on the odometer, hadn't even made my first payment on it. I was sitting at a red light, stopped and I hear a squeal and I get clobbered from behind. I should stop here to let you know what I was on my way to do. I was on my way downtown to give a Halloween party for a bunch of underprivileged kids. I was in my clown costume. Blue fro wig, old lady dress, chest that made Dolly Parton look flat chested, a butt to match, a belt around my size 3 waist to make it all look even bigger, full clown white face make up, and men's size 13 combat boots...got the visual? I was so angry at getting rear ended, I forgot I was wearing the clown outfit..I jump out of the car and got got in the woman's face...I bet she is still having nightmares about an angry clown in her face...lol! I calmed down fairly quickly but I was stopping traffic..I guess they were looking for more clowns coming out of my car...I had to hide so I didn't cause another wreck...when the cop come up and dismounted his motorcycle...he did a slow pan up my costume but his chin stayed in the same place...slack jawed he said to me "I've never taken a report from a clown before" I said "I bet you did, they just didn't dress the part". He tried to stifle his laugh...anyway..long story short...I thought I would give you a true accident you could laugh at. I'm laughing at it now, it's been over 30 years but it's funny.

I'm glad you are okay. Losing your wheels is a big deal, so I don't see it as a pity party. I'm so sorry. I hope you have something else to drive.

Glad I gave you a smile! I should also tell you I was in Memphis, tn at the time and part of the church's clown ministery. A female clown in the face of a female within a bad attitude smarting off about, I don't suppose you have a license and I don't suppose you have insurance.....I know she would never recognize me in person...people that knew me for 10 years didn't know me in costume...please feel free to tell this story anytime you need a good laugh or when you a good story to break the ice...it is absolutely true and I couldn't have made this up if I tried.

Good to hear that you are ok Donna.
Do have someone look at any pain you might have in the neck or shoulders over the next couple few weeks.
Some times the injury hides for a bit.
