Default Approved torches for natural gas

I read a thread on this issue and wonder if anyone has had any luck. I am dealing with this problem in the State of New Hampshire. The city does not want to sign off on the permit because of the torch.

I know the National 8M torch is advertised as working with natural gas, and has tip selection guidelines for propane, NG, and hydrogen in their instructions. Not sure what sort of documentation your local code inspector wants, but if they can tell you specifically what they are looking for National's customer service people might be able to help.

(I don't work for them, just have used (and love) the 8M with the SM7 tip for the last year)

Thanks! I appreciate that. All of my research points to the fact that no torch out there has been "approved." I think it generally depends on the inspector, and I have one that goes by the book...unfortunately!!! Just to be sure, I will call National tomorrow to ask if their torches are "approved," but I am not holding my breath. Thanks again!

Probably be fine to get a small stove put in. So safe I wonder if it would boil water.
