Default Rinsing stainless steel shot after rinsing

So this is the second time DH has needed to disassemble our garbage disposal because a piece of shot had escaped down the kitchen sink. I've been using a sieve.

What is your safe method of rinsing shot after tumbling.

A doubleknit sock. I am able to rinse it and then empty it when done rinsing.

OH, I like that method! So I assume you turn it inside out when you are done rinsing. Nice! This could become an interesting thread! Who knew?

I put it in a mesh colander strainer and work over the sink with a stopper in the sink. After I rinse it off, I pour it into a wobbly plastic ice cream container and pour it back into the tumbler.

Try a #6 coffee filter they are cone shaped and work well for all sorts of thing.
You can put the filter over a wide mouth jar or something with a rubber band if your feeling cleaver.

I would do all of the rinsing in a bowl in a bucket or pot.

Let the water flow over the top of the bowl for the rinse , then empty the bowl through a colander over the bucket or pot.

The shot never gets near the sink.
