Default need help with gold fuming

I just tried fuming gold for the first time. I got some nice color from it. The problem is, when I fume it on tubing it gets that white scum on it, like from devitrification I think it's called? I made some fumed pendants and had no problem with it, but when I fumed gold or gold then silver onto tubing it got that white stuff almost immediately after I fumed it. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or how to prevent that from happening?
thanks

I believe you should fume Gold over Silver.

It's pure, it's 24 karot. I got it from Glasscraft.

I think I tried gold over silver too, and the same thing happened.

that could be it. it seems like after I heat it up after fuming it is when it happens. I'll try getting it hotter first next time..

Could it be that your silver fuming is too heavy? because if silver is put on to thick it will turn white. Also a flame needs to be reducing when fuming with silver, but if the piece is worked to long in this type of flame it will divite.
