Might be a thread hog here, but after a week of just not getting anything worthwhile, have finally got the hang of this tutorial, and made a LOTof these, trying different colors. Will describe without giving away 'secret' of the tut.

(Think at fist I was trying on beads that were just too small for the way I work, and the torch [minor] and flame I use, so these are all fairly large, and most of them pressed and with final encasing of clear)

All glasses mentioned are effetre/moretti unless specified otherwise.

This one uses a base of uranium yellow with coral.

dark turquoise over pale blue transparent

copper green over transparent ink blue

More of my beads from this tutorial

All the ones above do not have an opaque core. this one does, ivory decorated with turquoise and SIS, then encased in clear before 'prisiming' with dark turquoise (hint of red in first pic is reflection of our tile roof!)

no core, medium transparent green base, pea/yellow-green, finished with a bit of silver blue reduction frit, but not reduced.

core of transparent teal, encsed with clear 3 or 4 times, then used dar turquoise. In this case the red is from theturquoise reducing. This one not pressed, nor any final encasing.
